A uniquely original and beautiful Enso, Oiyee.

Artist's Description

The Enso represents the way of Zen as a circle of emptiness and form, void and fullness.

Drawn in one fluid, expressive stroke, the enso represents the state of mind of the artist . The black, white and shades of grey embodied in the brushstroke represent my mixed emotions and feelings.

The enso circle is born from emptiness. However its center is full of potency and infinite possibility. One dip of ink, one fluid brush stroke, I experience the profound changes and limitless possibilities.

About Oiyee At Oystudio

Oiyee At Oystudio

The two sides of me... My sumi paintings are essentially monochromatic. I find boundless freedom in expressing myself through different shades of black, white and grey. I love to use minimal strokes capturing the essence while leaving enough white space for the viewer's imagination. That stems from the Taoist thinking - sometimes not doing anything is action in itself. Like My Facebook Page (Chinese art) My website: http://www.oystudio.com/ (Chinese Art) With acrylic, watercolor and oil, I feel like a 4 year old child rolling on the floor coating myself with all the different colors I love. Unlike my Chinese ink paintings, I fill the canvas with so much color that it might be suffocating for you but I am having so much fun I just want...
